Don't die till you're dead

About Marc’s last cd ‘Scars’

Life can be hard and merciless. Someday, it will hit you, hard, right in the face. It happens to all of us. Sometimes you meet people that are strong. They travel through life, even if they don’t know the destination, even when they’re lost and can’t find the way. Of course they have fears and doubts, are sometimes torn up and in despair, but they don’t give up. They are not afraid to feel. They understand that vulnerability is not weakness, but strength. Bukowski once wrote: “No light goes out until it goes out. Let’s fight as men, not rats. Period.” My brother, Marc, is such a guy. The year 2018 wasn’t an easy one for him, but he stood strong, took the blows, and continued his journey with the scars that life inflicted. He gave meaning to absurdity, using music to transform his feelings into powerful songs. I saw it happen. New songs were written every week. It was nothing less than an avalanche of creativity. The songs give no answers; they just ask the right questions. This CD is first and foremost a powerful personal story, a meditation on life and death, with successes and failures, covering time and space. His stories reach out to each of us. We are all in the same boat. We all share the same scars. Luc Borms – Double Deal vzw
